Paperdoll Frock GIVEAWAY!!!!
I am hoping to win this dress, Don't you think Elizabeth would look darling in it. Of course I think most Moms would say that, but with her red hair I think it would look sooo cute.

BEARS
We spent Holiday Monday in Banff. It was really fun. We went shopping, rode the gondola and went swimming in the hot springs. When we were at the top of the gondola there were some really friendly squirrels. Well Elizabeth chased them around and fed them (i know I know don't feed the wildlife.) But Lizzy decided that the squirrels weren't squirrels at all thay were bears. It was soo funny. Here is a movie that Angie took.

Sam Laughing
Elizabeth loves her little brother. Often I will be in the kitchen and they will both start laughing in the living room. She isn't very gentle with him but he doesn't seem to mind. We caught a video of them playing together. Sorry it is sideways I wasn't thinking about posting it at the time. I think it is cute though, even sideways.

Stampede
On Friday night Trevor and I went to stampede with friends of ours Ryan and Angie Locking. It was a grown ups night. It was the longest I had been away from Samuel. Even when I was in the hospital people brought him up every 4 hours, and this was for about 7. It was so much fun to have some grown up time with out bags, bottles, stroller, and kids. We left Lizzy and Sam with Trevors cousin Jane. We enjoyed the Games and Rides with our freedom.

The next morning we packed up the troops and headed back. What great stampede day can start without a stampede breakfast.

We had decided that we wanted to go to the rodeo and had bought tickets. It was my first time to go to the rodeo and I thought it was awesome.

Lizzy was so funny. When ever something suprised her she would cover her mouth. Then they had the fire going off like they do at hockey games so she covered her face. It was so cute to watch as she would gasp and cover her mouth in suprise.

We headed out and looked at everything. We saw the bmx guys and the superdogs, the animals and the trade show, we checked out the Nintendo displays, fashion shows and one man bands.
As much as Lizzy loves animals she usually won't actually touch them, she decided that the baby chicks were safe, you know they aren't going to jump up and bite her.

We stopped to listen to Derek Ruttan (a recent favorite). I was excited to hear my favorite song, "First Time in a Long Time". Lizzy liked the time to run around and play.

Sam was so good also, he was just happy to be held all day, It was nice to have extra arms and hands to take care of the kids.

Tricky
The other trick, for me, is showering. My kids can't seem to sleep at the same time, and when the do I have 100000 other things to do (as every mom knows) So the trick is to shower with both kids awake. We will start with Sam, lol, Sam has to lay on the bathroom floor, Something about the green fuzzy rug makes it okay to be left down, crib or anywhere else is NOT okay. So Sam lays on the floor. Now for Elizabeth. I don't want to lock her out of the bathroom, mayhem would occur. I don't want to lock her in the bathroom, she would abuse Sam, so the door is left open so that she can come and go as she pleases. She routinely has to "check" on me. The curtain is thrown aside as she peers in at me. Then she notices the toilet. In our attempt to become toilet trained she has learned how to flush the toilet ...won't sit on it or touch it though. So the big trick is to shower quick enough while dodging back and forward trying not to freeze as she opens the curtain up and not to be scalded as she flushes the toilet every 10 seconds while keeping the soap out of my eyes and and eye on Sam. Lol. It is kind of funny and a challenge.
Well as my Camera is still dead (weep) I have to convince Angie to bring her camera here so I can get Stampede pictures off of it.
