Boo

I want an intervention.

Did you know a flight from Calgary to Salt Lake is roughly $1000.00

Did you know a flight from Calgary to Phoenix is roughly $500.00

Did you know Phoenix is twice as far as Salt Lake.

Did you know that ironicly enough The flight from Phoenix STOPS in Salt Lake on its way.

Did you know that the airline won't let you book the flight from Phoenix and skip the Phoenix part of the trip.

Head...Hurts

Here is my story from yesterday.  I will try to describe it well.  My thoughts are in italics actions are in blue

The scene is set in my kitchen.

Cooking dinner, Fajitas mmmmm
Need a bowl but the one I want is in the dishwasher, no problem I'll wash it.

Open dishwasher (located right beside the sink how handy) grab bowl, wash in sink.

Oh no now the bowl is wet and my dish towel is all the way across the room, no problem I will grab a new one real quick bet I can even do it without getting 5 drops of dish water on my newly mopped floor.

Turn quickly towards pantry (where towels are kept)

* The next things happened very quickly*

*slip on spill from Abbi's sippy cup
*while footing is lost and I stumble backwards I trip over still opened dishwasher door
*falling *crap crap crap, don't fall on the door that will break it, and hurt*
*twist mid air  * TWIST TWIST (said like someone who is curling)
manage to get a full 90 degrees to the right
*bash head on partially open pantry door
*bash head on tile floor

Now I don't know if hitting my head on the door first saved me from blacking out because it reduced how hard my head hit the floor or if it just means I got hit in the head twice.

And being the strong woman I am I jumped right up and got back to work

lol whatever I layd on the floor and bawled.

and I bawled until my kids got worried. Then I scraped my self up off the floor.  My neck and head hurt so bad today.

When I told Trevor about it he asked if I blacked out,
 I told him no
then he asked how did I know
I said because I didn`t miss any of the kids talking.

I`m sure the whole thing was very graceful.

ditz

Question.
Does your brain ever come back after pregnancy brain?  Or is it just gone forever.

I never thought of myself as a ditz or a space cadet.  until now.  and I am one of the worst.  I forget things week to week, day to day, hour to hour.  An honestly I am sure if you asked Trevor he would say minute to minute...  Good grief ... I should start sleeping with ear plugs so I don't lose any more.

My kidlets have all been sick this week.  Sam was the worst.  He just wanted to sit with me  We went over to my parents house for Sunday dinner.  He sat and sat and sat.  He wouldn't go eat, wouldn't sit on the couch while I ate, wouldn't sit on grandmas lap while I ate.  He did go have a steam with Trev.  My heart ached for him.  Lets just say I am grateful for the priesthood.  Over night he was so much better, still plugged up, but not bad at all.

My brother Ethan left for his mission a month ago.  and I still MISS HIM EVERYDAY.  Matt and I keep finding things we want to show him. You tube videos, jokes, pictures.

But he writes the best letters ever.  and I am actually trying to write him.  I think I wrote Matt twice (sorry).  So I am trying to do better.

Now it is time for lunch. mmmmm.

To busy?

This is my first year of being busy.  I think I have said it before.  But it still surprises me.  Thank Heavens that my phone sends me updates.  I just get lost in time.  Where does it go?  Will I ever remember everything I have to do.  I doubt it.  Sorry I'm a flake.  But I really do try.

I have really wanted to start scrapbooking more.  But I never feel like it at night.  Night is time for relaxing.  And I am making a valiant attempt at blogging.  Be proud.

Bus

Here is something I have been thinking about.  I just registered Elizabeth for Kindergarten next year and found out we are eligible for busing.

In the end a lot of it will depend on where Sam is in Preschool.  I am hoping that Sam will get int Renfrew.  The will bus him directly to and from our house.  But I won't find out if he can go there in the fall until March.

Any ways I have 3 options for Elizabeth.

1- If Elizabeth goes to AM kindergarten then Trevor can drive her to school in the morning when he goes to work and I can pick her up in the afternoon.  The school office said they will also probably add a stop close to my house because we are in a new community

2-If Elizabeth is in PM kindergarten then we can carpool with K.M.  I would drive the girls to school in the afternoon and K.M. would pick them up.

3- bus.  This one scares me a little.  However they never leave them alone.  The teacher will walk them into and out of the building to/from the bus,  and the driver wouldn't let her off if I wasn't there to get her.

I would really like to not have to drive her at all.  but once a day wouldnt be bad.  And K.M. has older kids in the school.  At the beginning of the year if we dont carpool she will be driving 3 times a day to the school.  if we do car pool then it is only twice (She has a second carpool starting in Jan of next year so that will take one of her trips away but it doesn't affect me at all).  Anyways.

Most of it will come down to when I have to be home fore Sam Wether I have to be here because he is being dropped off or when I need to take him to Preschool.

Which brings us to Sam.  If he doesn't quialify for Renfrew then do I choose to send him to the preschool Elizabeth went to, which is awesome but a 12 minute drive from my house or do I send him to the brand new preschool that is opening up 2 blocks away.  (Which one of the neighbor kids is going to and I have heard amazing things about).

Dar where is my magic 8 ball?

Gratitude

I m grateful for my children...even when they are crying.  Because then they come to find me and I can love them and make it better.

I actually have really amazing children.  I like them more every day.

My Elizabeth and her self assurance.  She is never afraid of people or situations.  She has the confidence I wish I could have.  Everyone is her best friend.  She is generally willing to share and play with er brother and sister.  She has really gotten into "relationships"  and figuring out how every one is related.  Instead of saying "Can we call Grandma"  It is "Can we call your mom".  She rode back from Golden with my parents and Matt last weekend.  This week she told me " Your Uncle Matt gave me smarties"  I then said that Matt was my brother and HER Uncle.  So then she said " Your brother Matt gave me smarties"  I wonder how it will all work out when she realizes that at church we call everyone brother and sister?

She is so imaginative... everything is a castle or a cave or a boat or a horse.  And her and Sam are always on an adventure.

Samuel is my lover.  He is so sweet and wonderful.  He gives me kisses.  He loves playing.  With his sisters, his dad, his mom, by himself.  This kid is on the move.  He is so easy going about things.  He is so proud of the things he is learning, and I am so proud of him.  I always fear he will suffer as the middle child with two demanding sisters.  But he loves his role.  He loves Reading stories.  Either by himself or having me read them to him.  He also loves to "read" them to me.  I love his sweet little smile and his full bellied laugh.  I love his love.  He is my little man. And I bet you wouldn't expect that this kid can eat 6 donuts in a sitting, and then will return for the rest later when you aren't looking.  We are talking full sized donuts people not even the little timbits.

Abigail has spunk.  Seriously watching her is awesome.  Sam was always muscular and could climb anything.  She has the desire but not he sheer strength, that doesn't stop her though.  She will get help or move something.  She walks like she is on a mission.  and she usually is.  She runs from me when I try to get her dressed/put on her coat/shoes/comb her hair.  The only thing she will never run from is a bath.  She loves the tub.  She is a little high maintenance.  She needs her one on one time, and I love to give it to her.  She loves you to kiss her head and chase her down. But she doesn't kiss you back she will offer you her cheek.  You have to work for her smiles but they are worth it.  She like to be in charge and expects what she wants when she wants it.  She is starting to talk.  She will stand in front of the fridge and ask for "miw" (milk) or in front f her highchair and say "eee" (eat).  This girl is very motivated by food, all the time.  She LOVES baby dolls and usually is toting around two of them, well unless she has her sippy cup or treats.

My kids are awesome.  I can't wait for them to get bigger so we can play more and get to know each other better.  I really hope that their relationships together stay strong.  My brothers and I love to be together, and I hope that my kids can have that too one day.

New Years

I still have no camera cord but I did figure out how to get the pictures off my phone so ...

It just makes me smile.  Of course she was all hopped up on sugar from helping herself to cinnamon buns.

It is very hard to get a picture of this baby smiling.

Resolutions have never been a big thing of mine.  I don't like setting goals either.  But this year I did..

 I have things like
 ~ read my scriptures more
~prepare my lesson for my primary class early.
~make my bed every day
~stay caught up on laundry
~scrapbook more
~enjoy my family more
~take a dance class with Trevor
~Go on different dates like cooking classes

There are so many of them.  we will see how it all goes.

I am registering Elizabeth for kindergarten today, It kind of scares me, but I'm sure it will be good.  If she is in am Kindergarten then Trevor can take her on his way to work.  We are registering her in a Spanish "influence" school.  It is like french immersion but with Spanish, and they learn English as well.

Samuel is doing great in speech and with potty training.  He is trying so hard.  He has started telling me as of last week that his is my big boy.  He always use to argue that he was my baby *tear*

Abigail is also trying to talk.  and we are looking forward to nursery.  I hope she will be in the same one as Sam.  It should be interesting though because she is still the bossiest 1 year old I know.  The cutest thing ever is that she has stated singing.

Trevor and I got moved up with our Primary Class.  Which is exactly what I wanted.  Bu I am getting ind of restless.  I have been in primary for over a year and a half.  However I know there are lots of callings I wouldn't enjoy nearly as much, so I am good where I am.  I would rather stay in something I like than move to something that scares me. like teaching adults. or nursery.

Trevor and I have recently gotten hooked on "How I met your Mother"  We are starting season 4.  But We still love "Big Bang Theory"  just waiting for the new episodes to start, ooo maybe they have I should go check the pvr.  I also have recently become a gleek.  I watch all of season 1.  Trevor hates Glee.  oh well.

I wonder if I can get a movie to upload on here.  hmmmmmm
