5 DAYS!!! EEEEEE
Joel and Glenda are on their way up right now. I am excited for them to come up early because it means that I can go and do some things with them before I am stuck in the hospital or trying not to move to much living in my recliner. They should be here tomorrow morning. They say that they are going to stop for the night halfway and then show up sometime tomorrow, however I have learned from experience that they like to suprise me and show up early. My bets are that they show up really early in the morning having driven all night. In return I do it to them too, call and tell them I am leaving when I am really at the border. hehe.
They have never really been up to Calgary for an extended period of time so I am excited to go and do some things. i don't know what yet (ANY IDEAS WOULD BE HELPFUL). I plan on the splash park, and maybe Sundance lake if Ethan will let me in. The zoo is always good, and we are going to have to go get some great Chinease food (Bills Peking House mmmmmmmm). Mostly we will probably just hang out.
My Mom on the other hand is leaving. They are heading out to visit Washington and Matt's mission stomping grounds. It is their summa holiday. She has demanded that I send her pictues when the baby is born. Anyways.
I bought tickets for the Wiggles. I bought 2, if Trevor is here then he is going to take Lizzy on a Daddy daughter date to go see them. If he isn't then we are leaving Sam with my Mom and heading out on a girls night (Lizzy, Abby and I). It should be fun. She likes to dance around to them and play.
Anyways Laundry is calling (like it always is).
We may not have it all together, but together we have it all.

Smith vs. Craig
Trevor and I are both quite stubborn. Luckily we usually take our stands on different things so it doesn't cause problems. We often joke between ourselves whether our kids are Smith stubborn or Craig stubborn. We were joking about the baby and Trevor was telling me that this baby must be Craig stubborn not coming out. Then I pointed out that Craig's are claustrophobic and would want to be out of that small cramped space so it must be Smith stubborn. Isn't it fun to guess about a baby before it is born, and then to see the different traits that our kids have from both sides.
Today Ethan took us to the Sundance lake to swim for a few hours. Elizabeth loves to be buried, well her legs at least, at that point she gets bored. Sam however had Ethan and I laughing so hard. We would try to bury his legs and feet as fast as we could and he would laugh and kick his legs out as quickly as he could. Then Ethan and I made a rather large sand castle. He jumps right on it on his stomach and proceeded to roll and crawl through it. But that was not enough, he then pulled himself along the sand on his stomach with his arms growling and roaring. Hilarious.
Sorry no pictures my camera is dead and I have no idea where the charger is.

Trying
So I really want to have this baby now (as every pregnant woman at this point feels). We had Lizzy just over 2 weeks early (I loved that Dr. He was great). Sam was just over a week early. So if I make it to Sunday it would have been the longest that I have ever been pregnant. If I was in the states I would have had this baby by now. Trevor gets home Friday night and I would really like to have him see his newest baby before he has to go back. The way it is now I will only be out of the hospital for a day by the time he has to go. People have said that he will get to see the baby in the hospital, but that doesn't really count in my books.
I read that if you walk up and down the stairs two at a time it will induce labor, well I did it for as long as my body could and nothing happened. I dug up all the potatoes in my mothers garden, nothing. I carry my kids when they want carried. I have scrubbed all my floors by hand. Honestly short of convincing my brothers to dragging my treadmill into my house so I can walk on it for hours at a time after the kids are in bed I am out of ideas.
Tomorrow I have a Dr. appointment, we will see how begging works.
Maybe jumping jacks. yeh right, I hated those in gym.
This is me

Listen kid I have never been a patient person... your killing me.

Backwards
Apparently I am completely backwards when it comes to pregnancy:
hair - most people get really nice thick hair, easier to manage, looks great. Mine falls out and gets unmanageable. I am excited to get my old hair back again.
nesting - I had no nesting instincts (that I know of). I kind of felt like making cooking, mostly I just want to eat the dough. But that urge wasn't even strong enough to actually get me to do it. I realized today that if I do get my way and have this baby early I might want a clean house before then. guess tomorrow I am cleaning. But that is just so I don't have to do it later.
movement- i really don't like to feel the baby move. creeps me out. Maybe I watch to many alien movies.
I am really hoping to have the baby this week while Trevor is gone. Then I get a full 10 days with him home and the baby instead of four. Is it odd to wish that the dad won't be there when the baby is born. (we have talked about it though and he feels the same way)
It is nice to be under the 2 week mark, it will be even better when I can count the days left on my fingers.

Anyways my Lizzy is soo funny. She was playing around in the laundry the other day. She was cracking me up. She cept moving while I was trying to take a picture but she kept asking me to take them. goofy

Camping
We braved the great outdoors and decided to go camping. (Secretly I wanted to tempt fate and hopefully go into labour for going camping this far along.) Lets just say the kids had fun but it wasn't quite what Trevor and I expected. First of all Trevor is one of those "hard-core" campers. Where all you take is a tarp and have to catch your supper. He gave into "fake" camping for us though. (MY idea of camping is a motor home.)
we went at McGregor Lake, it was a giant field about a football field away from a lake. (freezing lake)

The kids had fun being outside, chasing birds climbing on the cooler and the table.
Lizzy looks like a homeless person in most of these pictures, her hair was pulled out of their braids a couple of times by a hanger and the tent zipper.

Trevor took Lizzy fishing. It was the highlight for her. every time he caught one she would squeal with excitement and proclaim to all the other fishers that he had "caught anudder one fishy". This pike was almost as big as her. She was a little afraid.
I have a list of reasons why this was a very bad idea that all starts with my pregnant bladder and a holey air mattress, but all in all it was fun. It was nice to get out of the house. However I don't think we will go again for a few more years, unless we have a few more sets of hands, and Sam gets his own tent.

Be Still

MY BEATING HEART!!!
Today was an amazing day. As we pull into our driveway we hear a commercial add. They opened a Cold Stone Creamery in Calgary. For those who don't know it is like Marble Slab but better. We drove over right away and got some. MMMMMM Strawberry Blonde - whipped cream, strawberries, graham crackers and strawberry ice cream. Their mixing abilities weren't quite up to par but hey it is their first day, I can deal with it. I guess they have teamed up with Tim Horton's up here and are doing a joint operation thing. The Cold Stone is inside the Tim Horton's in Douglas Glenn, just off of 24th Street and Deerfoot Trail.

I'm not to sure about the Healthy part but hey whatever excuse you need to get some right.

nose
Tucking Elizabeth into bed last night
"Mom" saddest voice and a very upset face.
"oh no here we go" I think mentally preparing myself to rebuff the onslaught of stay up tactics. "will she start with the drink or the story"
"Yes Sweetheart?" I say
"Mom ... my NOSE pokes OUT"
Stifle a laugh
"That's okay, mine does too." I respond
She rolls over content with this answer and goes to sleep.
Man, just when you think you are ready for anything... where did that come from

Cruel Humor
There is something inherently wrong in the universe to have me 37 weeks pregnant and to have my allergies kick in now of all times. Sneezing multiple times a day with a 25 lb weight on your bladder is dangerous business. The initial thoughts of "oh no", the fear, the sneeze. The worst are the ones that sneak up on you without warning. cruel, cruel. There should be no allergies while very pregnant.

Hair blues
As people know I get hair blues. I get bored and tired and have to switch it up. In recent years I have become a chicken though. In the past I have had everything from inch long boy short hair to past the shoulders. I have had red, black, brown and billy idol blonde. I have had cuts I LOVE and ones that I tolerate. Right now I am in a hate reltionship with my hair. I want to get it cut and colored. I like my color when it was first done but as it has faded out I didn't like it as much.
How much is to much to spend on hair.
I am honestly thinking of doing a box dye so that when it washes out I can dye it back to the same color as before. I want to do it now, but I am going to wait till I am not pregnant so hopefully it will work out the way I want it.
How much is ridiculous to spend on a cut. Honestly. I am cheap and if anyone knows a great stylist that cuts for cheap I am in. However the key word is GREAT. I will be having family pictures done and want it to look good and we will be moving so I want to have good hair when I move for first impressions. I have a girl that I would really like to go back to but I can't justify 70 bucks for a cut.
So how much do you think is a good price for a great hair cut and color, or just a cut, or just a color?
