We may not have it all together, but together we have it all.

Birthday Revolution #2

My second goal is to be more in control of my Temper.
I have always been rather hot headed.

I am proud to say that when my children did this...

while I got Abbi settled into a nap. I did not yell, or whine or anything. I said "STOP! Don't touch anything! Where is my camera?"

We took pictures and got into the shower with our clothes on.
There were tears in the shower when we had to wash out his hair but that is how it goes.

Birthday Revolution #1

It is my birthday next week.

I am in the process of setting goals for this next year. Generally I am anti any kind fo goal. (lol I guess that would be the first one to set goals).

I figure I like where I am. I will be 25 with 3 kiddies. I love my husband, my house, my calling (knock on wood please don't switch me because I am enjoying it). So i guess I should do some improvement on me so that I can be more of the person I always wanted to be.

I have always been lucky to have a high metabolism. But 3 kids has worked a number on me. I have always hated working out. always. hated. I don't feel good after or during. But my new goal is to work out and get back to where I want to be. I don't know what weight I want to be, all I know is that I want to be leaner and stronger. I want to be able to keep up with the kiddies and feel good. I am going to try to do yoga daily and the P90x ab work out every other day (20 minutes of death). I also went to my first aerobics class this morning. My VT companion and one of the ladies we visit go. So I convinced Brooke to go with me. My wonderful, and completely hard core cousin Becka was teaching. She kicked my trash. Seriously.

So goal #1 excercise

cell lite

I cancelled my cell phone plan.

I lost my phone...6 months ago.

in the last 6 months I have paid over $240 on a phone I can't use. We just found out about their vacation plan. It is $10.00 a month. After calling them asking why the people didn't tell me about the vacation plan when I called them and asked them what I should do, and then asking if we could move up Trevors Upgrade so I could have his old phone because of all the money they cost us... She called us liars. (long story). I told her a hated telus because of her.

Now my plan is cancelled.

If I had cancelled my plan when I lost my phone I would have saved money.

I wrote an email. Telling them about all the people I referred and all the money they were going to lose in just Trevor and I.

I don't feel better...and I don't have a phone. I don't like Telus.

After 6 months without a cell phone I have come to the realization that I really don't need one. I just want one so that if my way old car dies I can call for help. Pay as I go here I come.

*I really liked my Telus sales man/ and I really liked my cell phone service (I never had a problem). But their customer service sucks. No product knowledge and, in essence, no "customer service".

Boo

Mornings

There are so many mornings where it gets to be 10:00 and I have nothing done. I wonder where the morning went...and why I feel a little frustrated. well today I figured it out. I have been feeding my children breakfast for over an hour. They play they eat they play they eat. My house is messier than when I woke up and I haven't done anything. It is also the point of the day where I want to get out of the house for a bit but I don't want to go when nothing has been done.

I think I will give into it though. The screamer machine at the Husky station is calling my name. and I have two brothers studying for exams that would probably appreciate it too.

* screamers are a soft serve ice cream and slurpee mix.

Fingers crossed that Shane homes (boo) will come mix my backyard soon. I really want to order sod and get it all nice so we can play out there. But last fall a gravel truck decided that he wouldn't get caught driving across my backyard...until he got stuck...and had to unload his whole truck to get out. and now I have MASSIVE holes in my backyard. she told me it would take a month for them to get out here. I made Trevor call her. I am not waiting until June to put a yard in.

Parallel Universe

Trevor and I have decided that we have entered a Parallel Universe.

As I have written about before Sam is not a sleeper. Lizzy is. Lizzy took a 3 hour nap every day until after she was 3 years old. Sam doesn't nap at all and he is only two. Lizzy slept until 9, Sam awoke at the crack of dawn.

Sam has somehow become my late sleeper.

Abbi gets up at about 6:30 every day (ugh...the world should not exist that early) and she doesn't go back to sleep. It's okay though because Lizzy gets up between 7 and 7:30. Sam sleeps and sleeps though and doesn't get up until 8 or 8:30. Bizarre

Good Grief

I entered my kids into the Calgarys cutest kids contest. I went back today to find them. There are 35 pages of contestants and 125 pictures on each page. That makes over 4000 entrants. I found Abbi on page 26 and Sam on page 34. But get this. They resort the pictures each time. I looked back again right after and their pictures had moved. gah.

If you feel like looking for them (hah) these are the pictures I submitted

Assesment

Sams speach assesment went well. She said he is delayed he is low in some areas and not so bad in others. He can make all his sounds he just isn't speaking (why she didn't know). So we are on the wait list for some speech sessions (6 month wait list) but she said if I work with him on things with all these different things then he may not need them by the time he is able to get in.

So we are working on it here and waiting to go there. The funny thing is he is already talking more at home. He got so frustrated in that room with her. How she wouldn't give him anything without a hassel. I think he is talking just so he won't have to go back again.

Lol. Apparently he kind of knows his colors. I don't remember how we noticed but he said something was blue. Then I asked him he wanted the blue plate or the green plate at breakfast he said "geeen" and pointed to the green one. Maybe it was a lucky guess.

work?

It is quite often that I wish I had work. Not real work like a 9 to 5 job, but something for the little extra money. I babysit this sweet little man twice a week
but it only made me realize how nice it is to have a little extra cash and how nice it would be to have a little more.
I look online for those at home data entry jobs but it just freaks me out how fake they all look and sound. No I don't want "4 hundred dollars a day and replace my income". I want to have a job where I do the work and they send me the paycheck for it.
I have never been a leader... I am an awesome assistant though. I love data entry, posting billing, accounts payable and recievable. I like to file and organize, photocopy and return calls. Oddly enough my favorite thing is to reconcile bank accounts at the end of the month. But where do I find a job where I can do those things either from home or after hours.
I did mystery shopping or awhile. It was good...but it got old. I didn't like getting the phone call on thursday "we need you to shop 30 showhomes by saturday night" ahhh. I just stopped accepting jobs and they stopped offering. job done. (there was also an accusation that I had been caught by all the agents of a certain home builder in edmonton. lol I wasn't even in edmonton the weekend they thought they caught me. suckers.)
Anyways there are my woes.
Any ideas

Today

my life changed. Abbi can get out of the bumbo chair. sigh. it was good while it lasted. Things have been hectic lately. I killed my facebook (again). I love it but I end up spending to much time on it. I am trying to cut down on my digital entertainment. We cancelled cable. sigh. and without facebook that leaves me with blogs.

Things have been crazy busy. If I don't have something on my calendar on a day then it is weird. You would think that would give me more blogging material..lol...nope.

Our friend Jaxon and his mommy went to edmonton this week...this is going to be a long week.

Anyways I need to do a costco run before Jett gets dropped of so I need to run. Maybe I will post more later

Costco run ... out... Abbi NEEDS a nap. and it is snowing BOO who really wants to bundle up 3 kids in the snow. I will just go by myself later.
----------------------------------------------------------
Things I am looking forward to this week.

-Sam's speech assessment
-Pam's baby shower
-Playing Where's Waldo with the youth from our ward for their activity
-Feeding the missionaries
-Girls night (which hasn't been working out so much since the new year but maybe this week)

Any advice for making Abbi sleep? She is so different than my other kids. Trevor and I are all for letting our kids cry out at bedtime. It is the only way Sam sleeps. Abbi however.... just gets madder and madder and man can that kid SCREAM. I don't know what to do. She gets soooo worked up and mad. Add on top of that she is my early riser child and it is killing me. I didn't know there was life before 5 am . I usually feel pretty capable and knowledgeable when it comes to my kids. Or at least they don't scare me now but man I have no clue what to do here.

Oh and by the way - favorite new free internet program - Photo Razor

It resizes your pictures. So I could get rid of that awful header that I gave up on because I didn't know how to resize it. I like the new one better. I took the picture all by myself.

Secret Love I haven't used

I love this website http://www.yycdeals.com/. It is flight deals ans specials from Calgary. I check it all the time and it makes me want to travel but hopefully someday it will work to my advantage. It also has a flight map that has prices to different places in different months so you can see if they fluctuate.

So different..

I read a blog called "That Wife". I knew her in collage but not well, she lived in the apartment above me.

She is pregnant and is blogging about her pregnancy her preparations things she has read etc etc etc.

We are complete opposites.

I have had a c-section with all three of my children. It works best for me. I took a class at the hospital with Lizzy, but didn't finish when we found out that we were the "1 in 10" that has to have a section.

She is doing a home birth with a midwife, and has done more prep and reading than I can imagine.

Now... I think all forms, methods of child birth and labour are great. Do what ever works for you. I have heard great and horrifying stories from both sides.

But honestly the things she is doing and planning on doing freak me out. I could never catch the baby myself.

Check her out if you want.
