Today

my life changed. Abbi can get out of the bumbo chair. sigh. it was good while it lasted. Things have been hectic lately. I killed my facebook (again). I love it but I end up spending to much time on it. I am trying to cut down on my digital entertainment. We cancelled cable. sigh. and without facebook that leaves me with blogs.

Things have been crazy busy. If I don't have something on my calendar on a day then it is weird. You would think that would give me more blogging material..lol...nope.

Our friend Jaxon and his mommy went to edmonton this week...this is going to be a long week.

Anyways I need to do a costco run before Jett gets dropped of so I need to run. Maybe I will post more later

Costco run ... out... Abbi NEEDS a nap. and it is snowing BOO who really wants to bundle up 3 kids in the snow. I will just go by myself later.

Any advice for making Abbi sleep? She is so different than my other kids. Trevor and I are all for letting our kids cry out at bedtime. It is the only way Sam sleeps. Abbi however.... just gets madder and madder and man can that kid SCREAM. I don't know what to do. She gets soooo worked up and mad. Add on top of that she is my early riser child and it is killing me. I didn't know there was life before 5 am . I usually feel pretty capable and knowledgeable when it comes to my kids. Or at least they don't scare me now but man I have no clue what to do here.

It resizes your pictures. So I could get rid of that awful header that I gave up on because I didn't know how to resize it. I like the new one better. I took the picture all by myself.

Secret Love I haven't used

I love this website http://www.yycdeals.com/. It is flight deals ans specials from Calgary. I check it all the time and it makes me want to travel but hopefully someday it will work to my advantage. It also has a flight map that has prices to different places in different months so you can see if they fluctuate.

So different..

I read a blog called "That Wife". I knew her in collage but not well, she lived in the apartment above me.

She is pregnant and is blogging about her pregnancy her preparations things she has read etc etc etc.

We are complete opposites.

I have had a c-section with all three of my children. It works best for me. I took a class at the hospital with Lizzy, but didn't finish when we found out that we were the "1 in 10" that has to have a section.

She is doing a home birth with a midwife, and has done more prep and reading than I can imagine.

Now... I think all forms, methods of child birth and labour are great. Do what ever works for you. I have heard great and horrifying stories from both sides.

But honestly the things she is doing and planning on doing freak me out. I could never catch the baby myself.

long haul

Today is a looooong haul for me. I babysit and Trevor has a work dinner tonight. So for 6 hours I will have 4 kiddos under the age of 4 and Trevor won't get home until after bedtime.

That's all I can think about right now. I know lame, but it is a little daunting.

New Blog

I made a new blog it is about dinner and food and cooking. Things that I am cooking, trying to cook. The never ending attempt to try to have a good dinner on the table. and how planning dinner takes over my whole day. It might not last long but I figured I would try it out.

I LOVE FOOD. I like cooking and I love having good food for my family but I often fail at it.

annoyance

So I have been trying to upload pictures of my hair cut. For some reason it will only upload this one before picture. It seems to think it has uploaded the rest but I say nay nay it is not here. Imagine that I have some great side bangs, it has been thinned out and I have a big old happy smile on my face.

I went to the expensive place that I have been going back and forward on.

We recently adopted my parents dog when we found out my brother Matt is allergic. I took him to his first groomers appointment and it cost a whopping $50. bucks to get him groomed. and he goes every 2 months. I refuse to pay less for my haircut than my dogs. even though his is still more because he goes 6 times a year and I go 2.

Boo why wont they load. I had my Mumma cut Lizzy's hair too. It looks cute and healthy. But I miss her long long braids.

I am having a hard time soaking in the fact that it was over 6 years ago that I started at BYU.

I mean 6 YEARS. That is junior high and senior high... or...all of elementary school. In life before college six years was a major amount of time.

Then I get to thinking about it. Have Trevor and I really been married for 5 years. I swear I just met him a couple months ago...and WHERE DID ALL THESE KIDS COME FROM.

My parents went to New York, my mom and I were talking when she got back. We talked about how when you go on a trip and get back it seems like you were never really there.

I have had the songs from Newsies stuck in my head for a couple days now. Then I realized that it was about 9 years ago that Megan, Jos and I were obsessed with it. 9 years = forever. 9 years ago i had boy short hair and my biggest obstacle was math (since we didn't have to take gym anymore at that point.)

Thinking back is always fun for me.

Just went through ALL my old photos and I am thinking of doing a massive facebook tag everyone I ever knew photo album, maybe not there are photos that were never ever suppose to be seen again in there...

I forgot to put the garbage out again (honestly). It doesn't help matters that they come to my street first. I swear they sit at the end of the street until 7 and they go. My kids don't even wake up that early.

At least I won't put it out tonight and look like a moron again.

I am a total space cadet lately. We have things on and I completely forget them. I have to add them to my calendar before I forget again. If I write it down then I usually remember better. Trevor accused em of only remembering my things. I told him it is because he doesn't write his things on my calendar so they don't exist. He is excited to go to the shooting range with the elder quorm this week.

I had Trevor and Scott (thanks Scott) rearrange my living room the other day. The room feel so much bigger. And the kids can now get into their toy trunk easier. As a result them emptied it all out onto the floor and used the trunk as a ship.

My favorite part about the trunk is the easy clean up, just throw it all back in.

Lizzy and Sam did their makeup the other day. Nice huh. They do this often.

Sam likes to play with Abbi It is seriously so cute. Sometimes he gets a little rough but usually he just tries to make her happy.

Zoo season has begun at out house. Yesterday we called up Jaxon (the Piskos live just up the street from us. It is perfect!!)and had them come with us. ( called Amanda up and asked if she wanted to go right now. It was nice of her to come at the last minute without any notice)

Lizzy didn't like the wind blowing her scarf off so she had me tie her hood on with my "tie".

I am doing it. I swore I wasn't going to for another year at least.

I am starting to potty train Sam. Ugh what Am I thinking? He likes to sit on the potty though. and has gone in it once or twice.

So we have the little potty set up with the splash gaurd so he can sit on it and watch tv. he has his cup of water to drink. Maybe this will go quicker and easier than it did with Lizzy. (yeh right but I can dream)

Here goes.

I have also started Abbi on solids. woo woo. It is actually fun.

Up till now she has had no interest in anything real food related. But now she can't get enough. I can't believe how much she eats. Last night we cooked up an acorn squash. and shw was wanting food. It was really nice to just give her some. I forgot how easy it was.

I have also ( are you sick of the also's?) been trying to decide something else. For the past two years we have had zoo passes. We have had a lot of fun. This year do I renew? or get Heritage Park passes? or both? Can't decide. We will see.

My cheapness..

..is sucking all the fun out. I LOVE having my family pictures done, and we have had them done every year since we have been married. And I plan on getting them done every year.

The first ones were our engagement and wedding. which my parent paid for the photographer of my choice.

The next two years I did them myself. I would continue to do this, but with 3 kids?!?! ugh doesn't sound like fun.

The next year my cousin Rachel did them for me

Last year do to pregnancy and snow My cousin Natalie did them for me


This year I am at a crossroads.

Do I

a-fork out the money for a really good photographer which can basically promise me the pictures I want.

b-Bribe my cousins to do them for me again ARE YOU READING THIS? lol

c- attempt to do them myself again.

The cheapness in me is saying the myself or bribery route. But my love of these photos are telling me to just pay the money and have a good experience with it. I have loved Devon's pictures for a really long time. But she lives down in Lethbrige and is about the same price as Kim. A new favorite. I had been secretly looking at her photos on her personal profile on facebook and got a chance to meet her at a birthday party.
