Ridiculous.

We were out looking at minivans today as there is no way 3 car seats will fit in the versa. I hate car shopping. I hate bartering, I hate test driving, I just ugh. Luckily Trevor takes care of all that stuff and I just say yes I like the trunk and the color (what else matters?) We were at one dealership and we found a red grand caravan. It was a 2007 and was in great condition. We went inside to work on numbers and all that to see if we could do it. After getting our names the agent said I will need a down payment right now as a sign of good faith that you are serious about it. He specified that $500.00 would be enough. EXCUSE ME?!?!? He was dead serious about a down payment on a van that we didn't even have a price or interest rate on. I told him there was no way I was doing that. We argued back and forward about how it was a sign of good faith and us telling him there is no way we am giving him any amount of money before we have a contract. He then said fine I will hold your credit card as collateral. I was sitting there thinking "He can't be serious, there is no way this man can be this dumb". I stood up at that point and said, I'm sorry I think we will go somewhere else. As I walked off to retrieve my children I hear him say to Trevor that he doesn't understand what the problem is. I beat Trevor out of there as he went back for Elizabeth's blanket and the sales manager stopped him. Trevor explained the problem and said that He would come out and ask me if I wanted to try again. Yeh like I would unload my children for a second time. We left. We laughed in unbelief all the way home about it.

Spoiled Rotten

I have been spoiled absolutely rotten. It is my birthday next week. I got my present early though because we were in the States for a wedding and Trevor told me what I was getting and let me pick the specifics.

He took me to my favorite shoe store, (the only place I ever buy shoes unless forced) and let me get whatever I wanted. I ended up with 4 pairs, but one was flip flops so they don't really count right. I am saying that I NEEDED two of them. So that leaves me with one frivolous pair. I use to be this bad with purses too but carrying a diaper bag for 3 years has somewhat cured me of that one.

The big thing I got that pushed it all over the top is this.


I cricut expression. Eeeeeeeee!! I have been drooling over it for years. I love it. He let me pick a few cartridges and a bunch of vinyl. I can't wait until we get in the new house and I can set up my scrapbooking and sewing in the basement so that I can really start to use it. I play with it at night when my kids are in bed so that they aren't climbing all over me and it.

What a lucky girl I am. I have big plans for my house and things I want to do. 3 weeks will not come quick enough.

Swing Dancing Lessons.

Tonight my brother Ethan is bringing some friends to learn to swing dance. Somthing I haven't really done in years. For those of you that don't know that is how Trevor and I met. We use to go here (until babies). It was always so much fun. enter sappy memory music here lol.

I found this video. We use to do most of thease. I didn't do the one where you go around his body half upside down because my dad dropped my mom that way once and I am a chicken. But we did the neck dip and other such fun ones.




I have to admit this is my big reason to get back into shape after this baby. I want to do this again. It was so much fun. Does anyone know about anything like this in Calgary or classes.

The shy one

So we went for our ultrasound for the baby, sucker wouldn't show. Lizzy and Sam were both willing to let us know boy or girl but this one had its legs locked. We are thinking Cole for a boy and Abigail if it is a girl. We don't know if we are going to be able to have another ultrasound but maybe a suprise wouldn't be that bad.

Dinner

So we have a problem at our house where Elizabeth decides that she wants to watch tv instead of eating dinner. She will eat a bit and then says she is all done. Trevor was on his own for dinner tonight. Lizzy ate a bit and then wanted to get down and watch tv. Trevor said no she had to clear her plate before she could get down. He left the kitchen turned off the tv and turned right around to finish dinner. In the 3 steps back to the kitchen he sees Elizabeths plate was empty.

He says "Where is your food?"
She giggles

He looks under her chair... nothing there... looks around... nothing anywhere.

She says "down? tv?"

Trev says okay. As she leaves the kitchen Trevor notices that Samuels tray of food is very full. We don't have a dog, guess she had to resort to the little brother to empty her plate.

Failed

I tried making cake pops off the bakerella blog.

fail.

My coating turned out all bumpy and weird looking, the decorations fell off, and I don't know if it is just that I don't like cake so much but I didn't really like them.

sad... i was so excited.

I need your help

Here is the deal. I have a wedding coming up. The background is that when Trev and I got married are car was demolished, bird seed shot out of the vents for a year and we never did get all the bird seed out of the lights. I have been planning my revenge on all those involved (they all ratted each other out) the first of which is getting married at the end of april.

What have you had done/seen done/ heard of being done to peoples cars when they get married. This will be my first masterpiece and I can use all the juicy tidbits I can get. Don't hold back. If I don't get enough I will have to google it.

Has anyone else seen this. LOL. I really don't know what to think. Slightly disturbed that they are teaching kids this but couldn't stop laughing. How would you like that on your resume : Potty Dance Rapper.

Asian Lettuce Wraps

One of my favorite things to do when I lived in Utah was to go get lettuce wraps from PF Changs. Well I made some. They seem as good as I remember, of course I haven't had them in years, but it stood up to my memory.

The pictures don't do it justice.

This is what I did.

half an onion chopped

1 garlic clove minced

3 chicken breasts

6 T Hoisen Sauce

4 T soy Sauce

1 tsp oil

1/2 a tsp. chili garlic sauce ( next time I will add more)

I cooked the first 3 in the pan until brown and then added the rest. I cooked up some rice with it also and of course the lettuce to wrap it all up in.
