We may not have it all together, but together we have it all.

Sucker Number 2

Well despite my best wishes for avoiding a orthodontic bill that will reach the sky Samuel has discovered his thumb just like his sister did. How do they do it?? Seriously he is only a week old . The sad part is that when I see it I don't pull it out of his mouth like a good Mom wanting to stop the habit, I laugh run and get the camera and leave him be.

Here is Elizabeth at a week old also.

Lizzy B

Here is my Elizabeth. She is handeling the new baby so well. She likes to look at him and pat his head. Call it guilt mother though, I am scared that she will feel left out because of the new baby. My GRandma Hoy came in to see the new baby and decided that she was going to bring a present for Elizabeth. She couldn't have brought something more perfect for this little girl. She brought her a puse of her very own and a cell phone (although I think it talks in Chinease) and some cookies. She was walking around all grown up yesterday.

Samuel Don Smith

Introducing SAMUEL DON SMITH

We had Sam at 8:27 am, on February 27th, 2008. We had him by C-section. He was 7 lbs 8 oz and 19 1/4 " long. strawberry blond hair, but Elizabeth's was much darker. He seems to be patient and good tempered. We got home from the hospital at about 1 on Friday. We are very excited, we are breaking out the blue and Trevor can't wait until he is big enough to wrestle and toss. Elizabeth is handling it very well. She loves to hold him and hug him but is content to just leave him be. I guess she doesn't find him very threatening to her way of life as a princess. He laughed a little in his sleep today. Sometimes when Elizabeth is near they look at each other and I'm sure the remember who the other is. It just seems right.

Recently

So I have been doing various paperwork lately. Since the immigration is finished I suddenly find myself filling out tax returns, child tax credit forms. Also Maternity forms, subsidized housing and various others are all coming up. It is funny though. None of it ever seems that bad because it is all for my benefit. It is so nice to live in a country where they pay you to have kids rather than robbing you for having kids. In the states you just wanted to ask them to pull a gun and rob you properly, that way you could have a little more remorse and a much better story. Man it almost makes it seem worth having more kids with all the benefits up here, mind you I only said almost. Can I just say I love Canada.

Otherwise things are still on the slow path. We are going to grandma Nelsons for Family Day. and I have one more week of work. I don't know wether I go into labor early or hope that I don't so I can get more hours. Lizzy is still a blast. It is funny I always thought my Dad was really weird for not loving little babies and loving little kids more, and big kids more than that, but it seems to be true, kids are more funt he older they get. Mind you thinking about having a little baby again is really nice.

Still no decision on the name front, it is kind of freaking me out. We had Elizabeths name picked at 2 months pregnant, here I am with less than two weeks and no clue. Nothing seems right. Things seem to plain or to trendy or just don't seem to mesh. We will see, maybe his name will be baby forever.

Trevor is doing good at school. He just got finished his mid terms. He works so hard. I just have to remind him that it will pay off one day.

Hope everyone is doing well.

VERY EXCITING

No, i'm still prego, but... we mailed in Trevor's immigration paperwork today. So it is finally in the governments hands. Now it is just the waiting game for them to decide whether we are really a family or not. Can I just say, anyone who can live with me/put up with me right now and not hate my guts must really like me. Pregnancy - the true test of love. So the count is on, how long until Trev is officially and Permanent Resident??

The New Year Run Down

So we spent a wonderful Christmas in Wyoming. It was fun to get away for a week and just relax. Lizzy was so good. in our 15 hour drive down and 15 hours back (death) she played,
slept and entertained herself for 90% of the time. What a good girl. We are home again, back at the grind stone. Trevor is back at school starting up another semester. I'm back at work. Lizzy has suddenly become a lot of fun though. I think she has officially become a toddler and not a baby. She plays and talks. must be time for number two. I am officially on the count down. After having various occasions where a nurse or someone would ask me what week I was and Me saying I don't know I am finally keeping track. Has anyone noticed how time goes s l o w e r when you keep track. but once you start you are hooped. In case anyone is wondering it is 6 weeks, one day and about 8.5 hours until we have this baby. Still no real firm idea of what to name him, so suggestions are appreciated. Over all we are doing good. It is funny how time flies. We have been in Canada since July, that is almost 6 months. anyways Happy New Year to Everyone!!!

Milkshake Night and Goofy Grins

One of the things that my Dad is really good at is making homemade milkshakes. MMMMMM. So we had a milkshake night. Elizabeth was so excited that she got her very own cup. One of the things that she has also been doing as of late is these really goofy grins. We call them her hill billy grins. Well we a got pictures of a few of them. Here thay are.

The Mumma

So I finally took pictures of "big" me. I swear I am as big now as I was in the end with Elizabeth and I still have almost 4 months. Sick. I don't like to document pregnancy but I am entering a contest and needed a picture. So here I am.
