We may not have it all together, but together we have it all.

Sigh
My Matt is home and it is wonderful. I am so excited to get to be around him again. He is as wonderful as ever. I was sad to come home and put my kids to bed and not get to stay up and visit with him for the whole night. I guess I have the rest of forever for that though, but I am still excited. I also get to go clothing shopping for him because he has NOTHING. He wore his suit all day because he didn't have anything to change into.

For my Roomies in apartment 95
So I found an old CD and it brought back SO MANY MEMORIES. Here are the lyrics from my favorite song on the CD.
So I'm not your little rich kid
Well I'm not some muscle bound jock
But I do know this much
I can love you with so much more than them
When you ask why you should be with me
Here's my answer, here's my answer
I can treat you like a Queen
No ones better, gonna treat you better than Me.
Well I might not be a super genius
Well I'm not the coolest kid on the block
All I do is sit and play guitar
And even then I know I really suck but
Ask me why you should be with me
Here's my answer, here's my answer
I can treat you like a Queen
Nobodys better, can treat you better, or please you better than me.
When you ask why you should be with me,
Here's my answer, here's my answer
I can treat you like a Queen
Nobodys better, can treat you better, please you better
So please pick me
Jonny Miller
(our family home evening brother)
How many nights did we sit outside the boys building and listen to Jonny, Sam and the other guys play. Singing along. We use to beg him to play it. The only thing I wish I had from all that is a recording of Sam Dahl singing the freshman song.
I think that is our theme song from that year.
We were only freshman!!
So I'm not your little rich kid
Well I'm not some muscle bound jock
But I do know this much
I can love you with so much more than them

Matty
So personally I don't think anyone understands how excited I am for MY Matthew to get home. I am sure many of you disagree though. Matt and I were really tight before he left. It is funny, Now I pick on Ethan quite a bit, but we are close now too. Anyways, Matt gets home SATURDAY!! AHHHHH. I have missed him. I have always been gone over mothers day and Christmas so I haven't even had a chance to talk to him since he left for his mission to Washington. These pictures were take about 2 months before he left, can you believe how small Lizzy is. I think that is why it has seemed so long. It has been for all of Sam's life and ALMOST all of her life. and to me that seems like forever. Anyways, I don't plan on sharing him easily with others, and am very sad my parents are going to whisk him away to Nauvoo for a bit when he gets home, but I guess my grandma wants to see him too. I am so excited to have us all together, to hang out and play Nintendo and cards with both my brothers. I plan on lots of fun. Good times are coming up.

Woshun
Woshun - more commonly pronounced lotion
Lizzy was "taking a nap" up in my room. I had been laying down with her and left when I thought she was asleep. A couple of hours later Trevor got home from work and went upstairs to change and shower. He snuck into our room and guess what he found. Lizzy was fast asleep in our bed hugging my big pump top bottle of lotion. I had left it on my bedside table after getting dressed earlier that day. As Lizzy loves anything girly, "woshun" is no exception. She had swiped the bottle and helped herself. There was lotion all over my sheets, pillowcases and of course her. You have never seen such a silky smooth moisturized baby. I bet before she fell asleep she was quite slimy, but it had been soaking in for a couple of hours. Oh what a girl. Sorry no pictures, Trevor found her.

Oh what a week
Stories stories. Maybe I will just start with today. Elizabeth is a big girl now, she can pour her own juice.... or so she thinks. She dumped an ENTIRE pitcher of water onto the floor,it was a nice lake. Sam pulled himself up onto his knees, but I think it was a fluke.
Here is the big one though. Lizzy and Sam were down for their naps. I was watching some TV. Lizzy wakes up SCREAMING. I go booking it upstairs to get her. I walk in the door and she cries out "hurt hurt " So I was a little confused. How would she be hurt she was still in bed. As I get closer I look, THERE WAS A WASP ON HER NECK!!! So she is crying, I am freaking out (I HATE BUGS). I don't know how to get it off of her, and she doesn't want me to go near her neck. So I am trying to brush it away but am scared to get bit myself. Finally I grab her blankie (bad move) and brush it away, grab her a RUN!! So we are down stairs, Sam is awake by then upstair crying, which panicks me even more. What do you do for a wasp sting??? and GUESS WHAT. The stinger was still in her neck. AHHHHH. So I am calling everyone I know trying to get help. I need someone to hold her, someone to get Sam, someone to tell me how to help lizzy stop hurting, some one to kill that vile bug. Luckily my cousin Rachel was on her way over, so she was almost there, I also called a neighbor Alana. She rushed over with her two kids and a bug swatter. Rach and Alana and Des watched the kids, Dom and I headed upstairs to kill the wasp.. you should have seen it. I am pulling the blankets back hoping it won't get me and he was standing there ready with the swatter to get it. We found it dead and rescued the blankie. Yeh bad news. I have no idea how it got in there, and she was asleep for 1.5 hours before this happened. so I DON'T KNOW. AHHH. Anyways. So one of the things I was worried about was if she would be allergic. My kids have weird allergies. Lizzy is allergic to McDonalds sweet and sour sauce, and Sam is allergic to either Applesauce (homeade so there is no weird stuff in it) or Rice Cereal, luckily she didn't have a reaction.
Anyways. on a side note and much better news, Trevors dad is doing MUCH better, he was pretty sick for awhile but is getting back to normal (whew) Matthew gets home in 7 DAYS HOORAY!! Right now Calgary is winning the game against Edmonton, cross our fingers it stays that way, (even though I did bet my dad a slurpee that edmonton would win, they had just scored a defensive touchdown come on)
Rachel took some cute pics of my kids today I should get them from her, maybe I will have her take family pics for me, if she wouldn't mind, or maybe I should get off my lazy butt and do them myself as I normally do.
Canada Revenue was mucking up with my tax return (yeh my second adjustment) and it keeps affecting things like my EI benefits and my Child Tax benefits and then they send me letters saying they want money back and I have to call them and figure it all out, then decide that I am actually fine and change there minds, so I am a little annoyed. I mean the adjustment was in my favor, but I will give them the little bit of money for them not to mess everything up like they have been.
Oh just so you know. Best Buy has blue ray players on sale for $260.00 right now, so if anyone is in the market head on in, my parents picked one up. The guy at the Sony store was trying to convince me that $400.00 was a good deal and that they wouldn't be any cheaper soooo..... now you have the actual good price and that the sony guys lie.

So I am open to new reading suggestions, I have finished the Host and it was great. I am planning on reading Eldest and maybe the Alchemist (depending on how Alaina likes it) After that I am all out of my list and could use some more suggestions. I am up for anything. I have gotten back into reading again and don't really want to stop because I think it is a good pastime so come on ladies let me know what is out there.

So that is all for me, thanks for reading my ramblings.

It took me forever to figure out that for some strange reason my blogs have been linked to Trevors gmail account. anyone know why or how to at least change it to my gmail account??

Smith Family Pictures
The whole gang Troy (orange), Jacob (brown) Joel (green) Glenda, Stephen (red) Sam Me Lizzy and Trevor and Joel (green)
Stephen requested "gangster" pictures, I'm afraid the photographer didn't quite understand the idea. So this is as "gangster" as we got.
Our little Family
I really liked these two of Trevor and I, The photographer didn't like that we weren't looking at the camera in the second one but let us do it anyways. I would really like to get somefamily pictures done up in canada and Trev , the kids and I but the person I want to take them lives to far away. Maybe I will bribe her to take them when she comes to Alberta to visit her family.
We are in Wyoming right now, my brother inlaw is leaving on his mission tomorrow so we had some family pictures done. I think they look pretty good. We won't all be together again for 4 years because Troy will leave before Stephen gets home. So here is my tribute for the smith family. (The wind and my bangs didn't get along very well, but you can get a look at my new haircut.). The next time we have these done our family will probably have a few more girls :)

I am hoping to win this dress, Don't you think Elizabeth would look darling in it. Of course I think most Moms would say that, but with her red hair I think it would look sooo cute.

BEARS
We spent Holiday Monday in Banff. It was really fun. We went shopping, rode the gondola and went swimming in the hot springs. When we were at the top of the gondola there were some really friendly squirrels. Well Elizabeth chased them around and fed them (i know I know don't feed the wildlife.) But Lizzy decided that the squirrels weren't squirrels at all thay were bears. It was soo funny. Here is a movie that Angie took.
