Well it is done. Today we filed our 2009 taxes. It is funny I have always been excited for a refund.
But I heard someone talk about it a different way. It is like having 100 bucks in your wallet. Someone steals 50 then gives you 10 back, and you are happy about it?
You know what though. I am happy about it. it is better to get some back then lose it all right. That is one thing I don't look forward to about getting old. The year when you no longer get a refund and you have to pay. ewww.
But this year is done - and what will we do with our return - pay off debt BOO. Trevor and I made a goal this year to abolish all debt except our house (for obvious reasons).
So Abbi is starting eating. HOORAY! except that my cousin Rachel taught my other to kids how to eat and I am struggeling, she keeps spitting it out . COME VISIT ME I NEED YOU!
My Parents are in New York, and Trevor has left to go skiing for the weekend. Everyone is going on trips but me :( I guess I will have to make a trip to Super Walmart and pretend I am shopping in Utah. lol.
We may not have it all together, but together we have it all.

The secret life of NOTHING
Elizabeth- (pick a question) - where are you - what are you doing - what are you eating - what are you playing with -
The answer lately is always NOTHING
In the "Ashley's handbook of instruction" the definition is as follows
Nothing: When given this answer from a 3 year year old it means: I am up to no good and if you really knew what I was upto/eating/doing/or where I am you would not be happy with me.
-When you are given this answer you must proceed quickly to investigate. Do not be alarmed when you find a large mess at the source of the nothing.
Part of my kids "cabin fever" is that they are on a non stop use of the word nothing. Every 3-5 minutes there is another use of this word. (about the amount of time it takes me to clean up the last "nothing")
Oh spring where art thou?

The Sam
When we got back from Wyoming Sam just seemed so grouchy and wasn't sleeping at all and honestly he was an awful baby. Didn't know what to do and he had this awful boogery nose. I took him into the Dr. and found out he had a massive sinus infection that had spread to both his ears.
Yeh Bad Mom award winner right here.
Poor kid was soo sick no wonder he was so grouchy. I don't know how long he was feeling that awful either. So a dose of antibiotics and guess what. It is like I have a completely different baby boy. He is happy and playful and sleeping and sweet and wonderful again. I mean he still has tantrums (he is two) but it is different and you can tell in his countenance that he feel better.
This is his Zoolander face. Can't you just tell he didn't feel well. Ugh
Sam's 2nd birthday was on Feb 27th.
We had VERY blue cuppy cakes
And took some pictures with our trains (FAVORITE)
Happy Happy Birthday Sammy dear.
At first he just licked it.
Then he got into it
Marble works. new favorite
We went to Great Grandma Nelson 70th Birthday party (they share a birthday). He planted himself right next to great grandpa who fed him cake. He was in heaven. and on a major sugar buzz.
This is him telling me to Shhhhh. Apparently I am to noisy
Making silly faces ( doesn't he just look like he is feeling better)
I love my Sam and am so grateful that he is feeling better and is happier. Happy Birthday little Man.
(please ignore the pink soother. It was his birthday so I didn't fight him on it)

The deal
Kay here is the deal. I have lost the blogging bug. Just don't feel like it. But..... My friend sent me this on facebook. Lives right by us. Comes over all the time. Kind of like the kid. Here is the message.

Hi! Sorry about this generic email, I'm sending it to everyone in my friends list.I made a Doritos commercial to enter a contest. It's really important for me to win because my aunt in Australia has to start cancer treatment in Sydney soon, and she doesn't live there. She's under huge financial strain right now, and I want to help her out.
So here's what I'm asking of you:Please go to the link and watch the commerical:http://www.doritosviralocity.ca/Gallery/VideoDetails.aspx?v=329657
It'll take you less than a minute. Every time someone in Canada watches it, I get 5 points. Every time someone outside of Canada watches it, I get 100. That means you, Americans. Then if you could post the link on your facebook page so that all of your friends have a chance to watch it. Also, if you have a twitter account, I get points for that too. This is probably the most important part: DO NOT WATCH ANYONE ELSES VIDS. They get points for your views too. Thanks a bunch! I really appreciate this.
Dave
So if you all could watch it AND resist the urge to watch the other ones (ugh I want to watch) that would be great!!

Wyoming and a year of entertainment
The kiddos ad I have been in Wyoming this week. We came down for a cousins wedding and to see Papa, Grammie, troy and Joel. We are having fun. Hanging out. I made Troy's friends come over and play cards last night.
Superbowl. Glad the Saints won. excellent game!! The Highlight though was a commercial.
Here is where you all discover my true nerd.
It was a commercial for the Prince of Persia movie coming out in May. When we lived in Utah, right after Lizzy was born my Brother in Law Troy came down for a week and played the Prince of Persia video game all week. Needless to say this commercial brought about much hooting and a hollering from Troy and I.
So this morning Troy and I made a list of all the movies coming out this year that we would like to see. (to bad troy leaves on his mission this year and won't be able to see them all) Mu movie list includes
-Alice in Wonderland
-Clash of the Titans
-Iron Man 2
-Robin Hood
-Prince of Persia
-Eclipse
-Last Airbender
-Sorcerers Apprentice
- Harry Potter
-Narnia
I am a movie lover. I love to watch movies, I love to watch my favorites over and over. I'm not to picky and like lots of different types. Anyways I am a nerd. and I am excited for Prince of Persia.

Here it is
Stop reading if you don't want a rant. you have been warned.
My biggest pet peeve ever.
The thing that drives me up the freaking wall.
I don't understand it
I think it is rude
I HATE being stood up.
Surprisingly this happens to me ALL THE TIME. I can't think of anything ruder.
Honestly, if you can't make it or your plans change I REALLY don't care, just call and tell me. But this no call, no nothing crap is ridiculous. All I want is a call or a text, smoke signals, anything to let me know that you aren't going to be here or there, so I don't waste my whole freaking night waiting and wondering.
Rant over.
How was your night.

the sitch
Rachel told me a needed to blog more. And I should. I like to blog. The problem is about what. Nothing big is going on.
I think I am going bald... is that something to blog about? My hair has been falling out for months. They always say your hair falls out after you have a baby...but mine never has before. I have never had to go through this. If I were to add a picture it would be of a clump of hair that I pulled out while washing my hair. **cringe** so I won't post one. I have always thought it was gross when there is hair all over (dorm life with six girls at the Y). And having had short hair for most of my life... sigh.
Trevor and I have officially decided we are going on a trip THIS YEAR!. caps will make it happen right? We have wanted to since we have gotten married. and in 5 years we have NEVER not once gone on a trip alone together. So in Sept/Oct when I am done nursing we are ditching the babies and going. Where to go though. We are thinking a cruise, or Mexico (Back to Trevors mission grounds). I think it will probably be Mexico. Cheaper, and I would love to see where he served and see if we can meet some of the people he knew.
Sam has started hitting. I blame nursery. I can't get him to stop. No punishment I come up with seems to matter to him. time outs on the stairs, corner, stool, bedroom. harsh talking to. explaining it. and yes the occasional swat on his well padded diaperd bum. He doesn't care. help?
Anyways I need to get off the computer before it takes over my day and I get nothing done.
