We may not have it all together, but together we have it all.

To busy?

This is my first year of being busy.  I think I have said it before.  But it still surprises me.  Thank Heavens that my phone sends me updates.  I just get lost in time.  Where does it go?  Will I ever remember everything I have to do.  I doubt it.  Sorry I'm a flake.  But I really do try.

I have really wanted to start scrapbooking more.  But I never feel like it at night.  Night is time for relaxing.  And I am making a valiant attempt at blogging.  Be proud.

Bus

Here is something I have been thinking about.  I just registered Elizabeth for Kindergarten next year and found out we are eligible for busing.

In the end a lot of it will depend on where Sam is in Preschool.  I am hoping that Sam will get int Renfrew.  The will bus him directly to and from our house.  But I won't find out if he can go there in the fall until March.

Any ways I have 3 options for Elizabeth.

1- If Elizabeth goes to AM kindergarten then Trevor can drive her to school in the morning when he goes to work and I can pick her up in the afternoon.  The school office said they will also probably add a stop close to my house because we are in a new community

2-If Elizabeth is in PM kindergarten then we can carpool with K.M.  I would drive the girls to school in the afternoon and K.M. would pick them up.

3- bus.  This one scares me a little.  However they never leave them alone.  The teacher will walk them into and out of the building to/from the bus,  and the driver wouldn't let her off if I wasn't there to get her.

I would really like to not have to drive her at all.  but once a day wouldnt be bad.  And K.M. has older kids in the school.  At the beginning of the year if we dont carpool she will be driving 3 times a day to the school.  if we do car pool then it is only twice (She has a second carpool starting in Jan of next year so that will take one of her trips away but it doesn't affect me at all).  Anyways.

Most of it will come down to when I have to be home fore Sam Wether I have to be here because he is being dropped off or when I need to take him to Preschool.

Which brings us to Sam.  If he doesn't quialify for Renfrew then do I choose to send him to the preschool Elizabeth went to, which is awesome but a 12 minute drive from my house or do I send him to the brand new preschool that is opening up 2 blocks away.  (Which one of the neighbor kids is going to and I have heard amazing things about).

Dar where is my magic 8 ball?

Gratitude

I m grateful for my children...even when they are crying.  Because then they come to find me and I can love them and make it better.

I actually have really amazing children.  I like them more every day.

My Elizabeth and her self assurance.  She is never afraid of people or situations.  She has the confidence I wish I could have.  Everyone is her best friend.  She is generally willing to share and play with er brother and sister.  She has really gotten into "relationships"  and figuring out how every one is related.  Instead of saying "Can we call Grandma"  It is "Can we call your mom".  She rode back from Golden with my parents and Matt last weekend.  This week she told me " Your Uncle Matt gave me smarties"  I then said that Matt was my brother and HER Uncle.  So then she said " Your brother Matt gave me smarties"  I wonder how it will all work out when she realizes that at church we call everyone brother and sister?

She is so imaginative... everything is a castle or a cave or a boat or a horse.  And her and Sam are always on an adventure.

Samuel is my lover.  He is so sweet and wonderful.  He gives me kisses.  He loves playing.  With his sisters, his dad, his mom, by himself.  This kid is on the move.  He is so easy going about things.  He is so proud of the things he is learning, and I am so proud of him.  I always fear he will suffer as the middle child with two demanding sisters.  But he loves his role.  He loves Reading stories.  Either by himself or having me read them to him.  He also loves to "read" them to me.  I love his sweet little smile and his full bellied laugh.  I love his love.  He is my little man. And I bet you wouldn't expect that this kid can eat 6 donuts in a sitting, and then will return for the rest later when you aren't looking.  We are talking full sized donuts people not even the little timbits.

Abigail has spunk.  Seriously watching her is awesome.  Sam was always muscular and could climb anything.  She has the desire but not he sheer strength, that doesn't stop her though.  She will get help or move something.  She walks like she is on a mission.  and she usually is.  She runs from me when I try to get her dressed/put on her coat/shoes/comb her hair.  The only thing she will never run from is a bath.  She loves the tub.  She is a little high maintenance.  She needs her one on one time, and I love to give it to her.  She loves you to kiss her head and chase her down. But she doesn't kiss you back she will offer you her cheek.  You have to work for her smiles but they are worth it.  She like to be in charge and expects what she wants when she wants it.  She is starting to talk.  She will stand in front of the fridge and ask for "miw" (milk) or in front f her highchair and say "eee" (eat).  This girl is very motivated by food, all the time.  She LOVES baby dolls and usually is toting around two of them, well unless she has her sippy cup or treats.

My kids are awesome.  I can't wait for them to get bigger so we can play more and get to know each other better.  I really hope that their relationships together stay strong.  My brothers and I love to be together, and I hope that my kids can have that too one day.

New Years

I still have no camera cord but I did figure out how to get the pictures off my phone so ...

It just makes me smile.  Of course she was all hopped up on sugar from helping herself to cinnamon buns.

It is very hard to get a picture of this baby smiling.

Resolutions have never been a big thing of mine.  I don't like setting goals either.  But this year I did..

 I have things like
 ~ read my scriptures more
~prepare my lesson for my primary class early.
~make my bed every day
~stay caught up on laundry
~scrapbook more
~enjoy my family more
~take a dance class with Trevor
~Go on different dates like cooking classes

There are so many of them.  we will see how it all goes.

I am registering Elizabeth for kindergarten today, It kind of scares me, but I'm sure it will be good.  If she is in am Kindergarten then Trevor can take her on his way to work.  We are registering her in a Spanish "influence" school.  It is like french immersion but with Spanish, and they learn English as well.

Samuel is doing great in speech and with potty training.  He is trying so hard.  He has started telling me as of last week that his is my big boy.  He always use to argue that he was my baby *tear*

Abigail is also trying to talk.  and we are looking forward to nursery.  I hope she will be in the same one as Sam.  It should be interesting though because she is still the bossiest 1 year old I know.  The cutest thing ever is that she has stated singing.

Trevor and I got moved up with our Primary Class.  Which is exactly what I wanted.  Bu I am getting ind of restless.  I have been in primary for over a year and a half.  However I know there are lots of callings I wouldn't enjoy nearly as much, so I am good where I am.  I would rather stay in something I like than move to something that scares me. like teaching adults. or nursery.

Trevor and I have recently gotten hooked on "How I met your Mother"  We are starting season 4.  But We still love "Big Bang Theory"  just waiting for the new episodes to start, ooo maybe they have I should go check the pvr.  I also have recently become a gleek.  I watch all of season 1.  Trevor hates Glee.  oh well.

I wonder if I can get a movie to upload on here.  hmmmmmm

ultimate fail

My whole day yesterday was an ultimate fail. Grocery shopping was a fail. Going to the bank was a fail. Lunch and supper was a fail. Everything. I didn't get a single thing done. Well I did get the entire container of cranberry juice cleaned up off the floor and I did get the toilet to stop over flowing. And my children did live to see another day. So i guess some good things did happen there.

So I am officially doing American thanksgiving this week before we leave. It should be good. At least I feel almost ready.

It will be my first time doing most of this. The turkey, pies that you bake with filling, pies that you bake after, cranberry sauce, maple squash. It should be yummy.

Abbi has started singing. All. The. Time.

It is really cute. She does it when she is playing by herself

We built a fort In the living room today. What else do you do when it is -30 outside. It has been a castle a cave a house and heaven knows what else.

Anyways I should stop avoiding my mess.

Mom.. we can use tape!

My kids have been obsessed with tape lately.  The find pens, calculators, toys etc and tape it to a paper and give it to you as presents.  Lizzy has also been obsessed with the snow.  She has been outside to play As much as she can.  It is kid of funny... like watching a puppy.  She rolls in it and jumps in it and buries herself in it.  She is true Canadian, probably even more so than me.  I welcome the winter and accept it for what it brings.  I mean I did move her from Tucson.

Anyways.  Lizzy was asking about making a snowman today when she got inside.  Telling Trevor and I all about it.  We told her she would have to wait until it got warmer because the snow is to cold to stick together.  In true problem solving fashion she then said "Mom but we can use tape!"  I wish, can you even imagine that though.  A snow man all held together by tape.

It made me wonder if I was raising a red neck.  Luckily she hasn't found the duct tape...yet.

Our other big thing is Chicken Pox.

Before anyone asks.  Yes my kids are all vaccinated.  They are all up to date on their vaccines, they have gotten all of them.

Some how Sam caught the chicken pox anyways.  If any one has been around us and their kids have caught them to I am sorry.  Consider that a formal apology. Monday I was getting Sam dressed (Sorry to all the nursery people he didn't have the rash the day before or I promise I wouldn't have sent him) and found a rash all over his stomach.  Thinking it was a reaction to the penicillin he was on for his ears I called the Dr.  (well I would have called the doctors anyways even if I didn't think I knew what it was).   We got there and the Doctor diagnosed it as chicken pox.

She said sometimes even after the vaccine kids can get it.  It is like people who get it twice.

Anyways I stopped taking him with me anywhere.  Thank you to my mom and my brother Ethan who stayed with him.  The good news.  It was only a small rash just on his stomach and it is all scabbed over and healing now.  He also didn't have any other side affect ( fever, itching, grouchy).

Since there I have heard of 4 or 5 other families whose kids have chicken pox even though they are vaccinated.  Apparently it is going around.  The thing is though that I don't know any of these other families... so who gave it to us??

potty

So glenda is the potty whisperer.  Sam didn't pee his pants at all today. A.MAZ.ING.  and... he didn't poop in his pants either...but he didn't poop in the potty.  He took of his undies and pooped on the carpet??

This all got me thinking of Vinyl Cafe, toilet trainging the cat. It is long but HILARIOUS.  Watch it if you want.  You won't regret it.

As soon as I find my camera cord I will post NYC pictures.

I hate

POTTY TRAINING.  no no that's wrong  I H.A.T.E. POTTY TRAINING.  Really really do.

It took me 6 months to train Lizzy SIX STINKING MONTHS.  Any questions why I have been avoiding Sam?

Do you remember this post

Friday, February 27, 2009Nov 13th

Do you realize that I started potty training on November 13th. 3 months later I have had it. I have begged, cried, threathened, bribed, celebrated, forced, raced, read to, waited, cleaned, reminded, chided and left alone. Today Lizzy is in a diaper. I had been threatening it all week and finally did it today. She giggled with joy. I am so tired of cleaning urine out of my couch. The couch that I saved for for over a year. If I wanted it to smell like pee I would buy a cat. I am about to give but people keep telling me that if I do it will only be harder. What can be worse than thinking it was a good day if I only had to wash and dry my couch once a day. Now she just sits there. then she gets up and says "mommy a pee a couch". ARGHHH I Hate potty training. I will pay, yes pay for someone to do it for me. I thought girls were suppose to be easy to potty train, I dread Sam. My Mom says I have to excpect some accidents. I think I am past that. I will ask here every five minutes, take her to the potty even. She won't go and then five minutes later..... dun dun dun. Never fails.

That was only half way there...

Can I just say I HATE POTTY TRAINING!! I can't even count the accidents anymore, at least one a day. I threaten to put her back in diapers when she wets herself and she cries now when I do because I did it one day. She just gets to distracted. Ughhh. will this NEVER end?

Apparently my feelings haven't changed much.

I have Sam naked today.  I sat him on the potty 3 times in 45 minutes.  Then he was sent to his room for hitting.  He peed on his bed in under 5 minutes.  So lets add another load of laundry to the list while I am trying to get ready to go.  As if the 6 loads that I have done yesterday and today weren't enough. (I have been slacking off and want everything clean before I go, all sheets and towels.)  of course I had already done Sam's sheets and remade his bed.

DEATH.

Maybe Glenda will Train him while I am gone (fingers crossed).  Please oh please.  I mean she did train 5 boys, maybe she will have "potty whispering" skills.  Please oh please oh please.  I might never come home if I know I have to potty train him when I come back.  Stubborn little thing.

8 sleeps

This is a totally bragging post.  I have the greatest husband ever.  (you all think you do but i have proof).  In 8 sleep I will be boarding a plane all by myself (yes ALL by myself) to fly across the country, to NYC.

(Enter Alicia Keys and Jay Z)

I will be visiting my roomie Kambria
I so stole this picture off her facebook (wahaha).

Isn't she beautiful
I am so excited.  My list of things to get done before I go is a mile long.

The In-laws are coming up to help Trevor with the kids.

4 days of shopping, eating and yes a Rangers Game.

I'm so excited!

Bliss

I love my mumma.

Sam and Abbi fell asleep at 12:45.  So my mumma drove lizzy to school so that they could sleep.  Now it is 3:15 and she is going back to get Lizzy because THEY ARE STILL ASLEEP.

This is all a blessing.  This morning I was at the end of my rope.  The women at Lizzy's dance must think I am awful.  And I have had a perfect afternoon, due largely to my wonderful mother who has dropped everything twice this afternoon just to help me out.

I love my mumma
